MALVERN, Pa., Feb. 21, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today introduced five products in its new INT-A-PAK packaging. New half-bridge IGBT power module. The VS-GT100TS065S, VS-GT150TS065S, VS-GT200TS065S, VS-GT100TS065N and VS-GT200TS065N are based on Vishay Trench IGBT technology, giving designers the choice of two best-in-class technologies – low VCE(ON) or low Eoff. To reduce conduction or switching losses in high-current inverter stages used in transport, energy and industry.
The half-bridge device announced today combines a Trench IGBT transistor with Generation IV FRED Pt® antiparallel diodes with ultra-soft reverse recovery characteristics to deliver greater energy savings than other devices on the market. The compact INT-A-PAK module body features a new bolt pin orientation and is now 100% compatible with standard 34mm body diameter, allowing mechanical replacement.
Industrial-grade devices will be used in railway power converters, energy generation, distribution and storage systems, motor drives and robotics; To reduce conduction loss in the TIG welder output stage, the VS-GT100TS065S, VS-GT150TS065S and VS-GT200TS065S offer the industry’s lowest collector-emitter voltage ≤ 1.07 V at +125 °C and rated current. For high frequency power supplies, the VS-GT100TS065N and VS-GT200TS065N provide extremely low switching losses: Eoff is only 1.0 mJ at +125 °C and rated current.
These RoHS compliant modules feature 650V collector-emitter voltage, 100 to 200A continuous collector current, and extremely low junction-to-case thermal resistance. The device is UL Listed (File E78996), mounts directly to the heatsink, and provides low EMI to reduce buffering requirements.
Samples and series production of the new IGBT power modules are already available, with a delivery time of 15 weeks.
