This week, the Gray Volunteer Fire Department began its annual fireworks fundraiser at the fire station located at 107 Ruritan Drive in Gray, which runs through July 5th.
Firefighter Connor Morgan said the fundraiser is important because the department needs the money it raises to pay for the recent purchase of a new fire truck, which is in dire need of faster response times.
